  • Help on Id'ing a Charvel Guitar

Sticker says made in Japan. Headstock is kind of fatter than a strat, and Charvel logo is written in guitar style logo. The neck is ebony fretboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. 24 frets, bolt on. Two humbucker pickups, and the body looks like a strat. Charvel is written on the floyd rose licensed tremolo. The color is blue, but kind of quilted on top.

Got no clue what kind of guitar it is and what it's worth. Thanks fellas

CX series only had 22 frets and were either H-S-S or H-S-H Likewise they also had rosewood fretboards with plastic inlays, plus they say CX on the headstock. This sounds like an STX, but the 24 frets and the H-H throws me. Are the pickups mounted on a pickguard?

He also mentions it has the guitar logo. CX/STX would have the toothpaste, right? Also, ebony board, MOP inlays, quilt top... parts mutt, US model, what?

          I'm leaning towards mutt.

Try to post pics. Sounds to me like it might be a Japan-only model. When you say the headstock is "kind of fatter than a strat", is it still strat-shaped or is it that ballsack sorta strat shape? If it's strat-shaped, I'm just about sure it's a Japan-only model, probably from the early '90s. They still used the guitar-shaped logo for those.
