How much is my Model 1C worth?

Thinking about selling it, as I'm not really getting on with it as well as I'd hoped . Its all original, except the trem arm is missing. Has its fair share of dents/chips in the paintwork but nothing too bad.

How much would be a good asking price for one (in the UK)?

If it's a maple board closer to $250. Check Ebay's completed listings for Model 1's, 1A's. I would think 1C's would be higher as it is a less common Model 1. I have seen Model1's go for over $300 in the past couple of years.

Yeah it is maple board. I bought it off ebay for £200 (which translates to about $400). Would be cool if I could get more than I paid

All the Model 1 derivatives had maple boards, including the 1C. Just wanted to clear that up in case people get the impression that a maple-boarded 1C is rarer than "the other kind".

Ooops I thought the 1C was like a Model 3 (with pickguard) but with the vintage trem, and a Rosewood or Maple board.

Just checked the Charvel bible (Henrik's site), and I got it mostly right only there was never a Rosewood option. Strange the only difference between a 1C and a Model 3 is the trem and maple board.

Vitamin, I wouldn't call them rare (but I'm sure others may) but they did only make the 1C's in 1988 according to the Charvel catalog scans. Compared to 1986-1988/89 for all other Model 1's, so there are a lot more Model 1's and 1A's out there.

I only wanted to point out that if people are already aware that 1Cs are harder to find than the other Model 1s, they might mistakenly believe they've got a real rarity when they get a coveted maple-boarded one. Especially if they've been lead to believe that 1Cs were available with a choice of maple or rosewood, and the maple are somehow more valuable.
