Looks like the Fusion Special to me. http://www.mae-music.com/vintage/71--Charvel-Fusion.jpg

Only difference I see is that I have black hardware and the maple fretboard

The bridge on mine is different than the fusion I pictured.

It has the fine tuners on the very back parallel with the strings, and some little plates on top of the saddle blocks.

          Sounds like a JT-6 bridge.

I found old Jackson/Charvel catalog scans from the 80's. According to the catalog, it looks as if I have the Fusion Deluxe.

You mention you have black hardware and what you describe is the Jackson JT6 bridge as Carbuff states, neither of which came on the Fusion Deluxe.

In the link for the fusion deluxe you posted, look at the lower horn area, to the right of the 24th fret, does your body have the 'scarf' cut in the body? Does the body have a recess for the trem? If it does, and if your guitar is 24-3/4" scale, then it appears you have a Fusion Deluxe but with the hardware swapped to black and the trem swapped also.

Yeah, that's what confused my friend and I about it. The guitar does in fact have that little cutout by the 24th fret, and it is recessed for the trem. I didn't know for sure that the neck has the 24 3/4" scale, but my friend who sold it to me kept saying how it felt different then said that it must be the scale length.

I just compared it to my DK2M, and it looks like the Charvel is shorter.

All black hardware on this looks badass.

The only other maple fingerboard charvel at that time (toothpaste logo) was the 22 fret 375 deluxe, so I'm pretty sure you have the correct 24-3/4" scale neck on there (it wouldn't intonate correct if it wasn't).

You can do a quick check, from nut to bridge saddles should be close to 24-3/4". From nut to middle of 12th fret should be half that or 12-3/8". (A 25.5" scale neck would be 12-3/4" from nut to 12th).

                  I have one in orange:

These maple boarded fusions are highly coveted here by the way.

You are right, your black hardware would be an improvement! I've never liked the chrome on mine.

I just measured, and it is the 24-3/4".

This guitar also has a PAF Pro (bridge) and an HS3 (neck). This guitar is amazingly awesome, and it might get more play time than my Snow White DK2M (OFR, Tone Zone/Air Norton).

Your guitar is very nice looking.
