Oh yea, the Jackson Dinky Reverse Pro is really thin. Jackson Performer PS1 and the Charvette 270's have really thin necks too. Ibanez necks, there's more than a few with thinner necks IMO. What I meant is that the CHS-2 neck is thin by comparison to other Jackson/Charvel models. As an example, A CHS2 has a thinner neck than a model series Charvel or some of the new import compound radius necked Jacksons.

My stx has a thinner neck than all of the above, so fuck you allI know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

I think you have to have one custom made or grab a used one since the standard strat pickguards don't fit properly. I picked a CHS-2 about a year ago for $75. It had some crazy bedliner paint on it. After stripping and repainting the body, I upgraded the electronics and pickups. It's a decent player now and the neck is on the thinner side (if you can get past the poop headstock).
And unlike others, I really have no problem with that headstock. Though, there are a couple of Charvel headstocks that I don't care for.Occupy JCF

I have a CHS2 I bought new as my first guitar. It is a great player.I replaced the Pickups with SD Screamin' Demon in the bridge, SSl in the middle and cool rail in the neck. Very fine sounding set up in this guitar. The neck has all kinds of flame figuring. It looks like a Fender Custom Shop. As for a replacement pick guard get one here.
