Kahler breaking strings

Sometimes while i tune back up from c standard, my high e string will just snap off. it pulls the ball on the end right off. is this normal or what?

yeah man, i didn't know you had to bend them and solder them. i'll give that a shot next time. thanks

I buy the D' Addario Kahler sets. Same price as the others and no hassling with soldering strings.
