Unidentified Chavvel

I'm sure you guys get sick and tired of all the requests to help identify guitars, but there just isn't anywhere else to go to do it myself.

Here's what I do know.

1. My wife bought the guitar from a mate in 1998 in England. She paid £300 for it at the time.

2. Her mate got it approx. 1995-6 and he had paid about £450 for it.

3. The bolt on neck plate has a serial number "0486" and it is the P.O. Box 2344 in Fort Worth TX

From looking around on this site and others, hers seems to have later vintage fretboard inlays with a unique headstock. Unique in that it seems to be upside-down from most of the ones I've seen.


Anyway, I'm sure it will be dead easy for one of you to identify.

It's a Japanese built Charvel Model 88.
It's a limited edition guitar.
Looks like yours has had the pickup changed out.

There's a fairly clean one for sale on eBay right now.
The guy has been trying to sell it for a while and the best bid he's ever received was $250.
