    Newb to Charvel; is this good?

    80's Model 1 I'm told, the HCentral reviews seem good

    how are these things? value?

    the price the guy is asking for it is pretty low so I don't know if its a deal or a "you get what you pay for" type situation. Just looking for a really solid strat-shape guitar to play sitting down when my KV2 is on break

    If you love your KV then pass on this Charvel. I warn you now, you buy this Charvel your KV will become a case queen.

    Build quality is as ever bit as good as your KV. You just can't go wrong with the simplicity of the Model 1.

    You have been warned.

      The Model 1 is an awesome guitar. Like Mudkicker said, you will probably neglect your V. I have a Model 2, basically the same style guitar with the exception of the bridge (Trad vs. Floyd) and neck (Maple vs. Rosewood). I can't put mine down. I love it.

      If it's a deal like you say, you would be way crazy NOT to get it!

          I have a 2 and a 4, my 2 gets a lot of play! You have been warned, Charvel model series guitars become quite endearing, quickly.

                  Is the KV-2 USA? I thought it was. Are you guys saying that a USA Floyded King V with neck through and dual hums is going to sit in the case compared to the Model 1?! What am I missing?

                    Yep, that looks like exactly what I said. Full strat body, can go anywhere, no stigma of a pointy guitar. Plus it's a CHARVEL. As doc used to say.....Nuff said.
