Model series, neck pocket and heel info

I was wondering... what does it say in your bolt-on Model Series neck pocket and heel? I have a 1987'ish Model 2, shown below. It says "FX" on the heel and "#¤%¤#??something-2" in the pocket. Can anything interesting be derived from that?

Is there a 4a and 4b? Who can tell

I think C refers to the HSS rear loaded config as a 1c is an hss and a 3c is an hss too.
