I got this baby off craigslist for a song, I think its a 475xl or something, not really sure, but I do know this thing plays like a dream. Im hooked

I installed a tremlo-no but other than that its totaly stock

    That's a 650XL - the successor to the Model 6. The 475 had a similar look, but was a 22 fret bolt-on.

Yeah, according to SOME people, everything else would be downhill.

^ So they are considered to better than a Mod 6? If so why(other than the trem)?

The only differences are; better trem, pull-up route, and matching color headstock.

I had a Jackson rr-1 for a while (borrowed from a friend) and when he took it back I cried . Not thinking I could ever afford a guitar that played as nice, which I'm sure you all know rr-1 regularly go for 1500$ and up and the Japanese counterparts seem to be just as expensive I found this baby for 300$ and figured how can I go wrong for that price, low and behold this thing plays just like the Jackson used too, even feels like the same specs on the neck.

The 650xl was my very first Charvel. I bought it new in 92 and I still have it. Of all the other import Charvels I've had, this is the one I kept. Killer guitar for sure. Congrats.

Nice. 650's are awesome! I got mine new in '89 and have only had to replace the volume control and the saddle screws on the trem. I'm still debating on changing the bridge pickup to get it more in line tonewise with my Soloists.
