  • Charvel with Piezo?

    Hi, anyone know if any older charvel models were made with piezo pickups from the factory?

    There are none that come to mind. I bit you could get any Charvel with a Vintage trem or TOM style bridge and put one on though.

    EDIT: Ok I guess there was one

      Yes, the early Model 2's came with a Piezo built into the trem and tremolo was made by Rockinger.

          The best I can tell you is that they advertised them in the 87' brochure and they were available on Models:

          1 = $1,844.95
          1A = $1,894.95
          2 = $1,994.95
          3 = $2,094.95
          3A = $2,044.94

            no wonder they discontinued them, at those prices I bet they sold like 3.
            the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

              I'm sorry, I should have mention that this included the whole midi system for those prices-

                Midi system??? is it a midi or a piezo on them?

                I once checked in Ebay a model 2 with a piezo, but never again...

                I would love to have one, but my worries is that Kahler trem. Are they as good as a FR? I meen can you do dive boms and pull pups still in tune?

                  man, I'm fukkin up by the numbers on this thread, lol! Those figures are for the midi systems, and yes, they did have the Piezo Kahler 2500 bridges as well. As for the 2500 bridge, they're not bad at all if you set them up correctly but the saddles and fine tuner setup are made of crappy cast material and crack fairly easily.
