Charvel 3DR + jt-6 tremolo arm help

Mine just broke from normal playing.
I did use (abuse ala Mr. Vai) the trem a bit early on, but the last time I broke one, it was a simple half step dive bomb and then *snap*. Might have been a defective one.
The one I have in there now has been there for better than 6 years, No issues.

Interesting. I may just be lucky, but I've never had that problem...
