I have a black model 6 neck thru I bought in 1989 new from a dealer in Melbourne, Australia. RRP back then was $2300 aud. I bargained and haggled and got it for $1699 which was a considerable sum for an 18yo...

It has some rust on the locking nuts and whammy (think its the licensed floyd) but other than that its still an amazing guitar almost 20yrs later with no major work done on it.

I always thought is was US made but now I think it was made in Japan can you experts confirm - s/n is C801710.

But still top of the line. The Japanese factory is well known for its quality output through the years. Trem is a JT-6.
