No sir, they won't fit - I'm guessing someone doweled and drilled for the wider post spacing.

What do you think. That was the first thing that caught my eye too. Im afraid its fill and drill for that swap. Not even close.

I have a model 3 also with an additional ofr. I can't really tell in the pics but do you still have the original nut then the floyd nut or just the floyd. The guitar I have has the locking nut after the original. It's slightly crooked (I don't know enough to tell if it is a major problem or not) and it sits up off the neck. Again not sure if this poses a major problem but it looks shit.

I wonder, thebeggar, if the previous owner tried to replace the old Kahler locks (which sit behind the nut) with the locknut that came with the OFR. Could explain why it's sitting funny.

Yeah VitaminG thats very possible. I'm gonna start another thread regarding this guitar because I've discovered it's got some massive problems.

Nope, not even close. Honestly, I almost scraped the body as the wood was cracked around the original post. But I decided to try to fix it. I transplanted some new wood (new as in air dried and gently raised to room temperature during a 6 months period). The posts for the OFR are in the middle of the gluing between new and old wood, so I think it should be strong. And as this OFR is non-floating, and therefore only can be slackened, the resultant forces on the post must be less than a floating which you can also raise in pitch. Seems to work ok and has been stable (I'm not the most aggressive player).
Besides that, the pickguard also needed to be fitted as the OFR is wider than the Fulcrum.

I am still using the kahler lock, works fine for me. What is the argument for changing to the Floyd nut? frequent string change, or?

I think that they tend to slip when they get a lot of use. Especially the high E.

Nice collection for sure. I like that white 3A the best but they all look to be good guitars.
