I have a friend who got me reinterested in my old Charvel model 6, he has long been looking for one and just bought an '88 Firecrackle in good shape. Mine is also in good shape but needs a few things, it came to me with EMG pickups (SA/SA/81). I never liked the bridge PU, too bright/brittle for my taste, I just bought an EMG-85 to replace it. I'm also interested in the EMG-EXG & EMG-SPC, anyone using those? After the new pickup and a couple new saddles (crusty), it should be ready to blaze again.
My Model 6 is also an '88 that's Medium Metallic Blue. I'll try to post pictures of both mine and my friends once mine is done.
Not that it's a big deal, but does anyone offer tremolo covers for Model 6's?
