Saw that on Eay. Nearly bid. You got a good guitar for a great price!

Now she's had new XLs put on her she's woken up! She's a lot heavier than the 5a and most of my other guitars. The colour is very PINK in the flesh but it's growing on me.

What can you guys tell me about the construction, woods, etc of these guitars?

My Model 6 was quite a bit heavier than my Model 5A, also. Both were maple neck-thrus with poplar bodies.

One thing I never understood, still kinda don't. Single humbucker guitars. What's the deal with them? Intuitively I'd think of them as limited, tonally...what's the appeal?

Single Hum guitars are my personal favorite, I very rarely use any other pickup combination and as the above post says......they Scream Metal......
