        I've seen them referred to as "the Contemporary Series", but I think that term is unofficial(?) and it doesn't tell me very much either. I guess "Toothpaste Series" would be just as good a name for them.

          If I recall correctly, the 1989 Charvel flyer is talking about "Classic", "Contemporary", "Professional " Series and so on - so that makes it pretty official. The 750XL belongs to the Professional Series. But those terms were abandoned by the launch of the 1990/1991 catalog and the "brand change" to Jackson.

                  The 475 Exotic will be 89/SA/SA Afterburner with Gold Schaller and all hardware. The red 475 might get torn down, I really want the neck for another project, but Im havin a hard time justifying it.
