  • behind the nut lock without a locking trem: truss rod cover?

I have a model 4's neck on the model 1a and as such there is not behind the nut lock but there is a big space where the cover would normally be, with two out of place holes.
Any ideas as to what I could do? I don't really mind it, but I'd rather it be tidier.

Actually I have a Model 2 neck on a Model 1A. I had the same problem as you. What I did was get a full size truss cover and before I put it on I filled the 2 lower holes and with a black magic marker colored the two spots and put the cover on. Looks fine for me.

Looks like it's what I do, I also have a normal truss rod cover from the model 1neck that's broken. Thanks!
