yeah, i debated for a long time on the project and although these are the best playing guitars in the freakin universe, i prefer the natural satin feel on my fiddles. like i said, i wouldn't have dreamed of touching them but i want them flawless again. besides these are priceless to me and when i go, my boys already called dibs!!! so they're going in good hands for future generations to come. i've watched this board for about a year now and saw the appreciation u guys had for these and that's why i signed up to share. hope u enjoy the pics to come.

They look pretty damn nice to me, especially the amber one. Not sure why you would want to mess with them.

Yeah, how's the refin coming along?
Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

Well, it looks like his last post was October.
I think he went his own way. Look forward to seeing them on Ebay.

                For the record:
My thread resurrection was out of pure, positive interest.

NOT trying to hit him in the head with anything else.

LOL! You sound like me. I'm on my third year doing precisely that. It's pure hell!

Good to see you back and good luck on the two guitars. Eventually, you will sell me the Trans Amber - you just don't know it yet

Well I hope it turns out as good as you would like.
I do get a bit skeptical of refins, I've seen too many destroyed.

X1 is a good egg (In my humble opinion).

Hey, it's easy for any of us to get skeptical these days... for lots of reasons.
That's a topic all by itself, right?

sun, I hope you don't stop posting, especially pics!!!!

Nothing would be cooler than seeing a primo refin job... in fact, you'll probably have quite a few of us standing in line asking you to do one for us if it turns out as sweetly as I think it will.

Can't wait to see it brother!!!

Thanks for the props, Spike. I'm not sure I deserved it this time.
I spent the weekend freezing my hairy tail off, wanting to get to work
on my mutt Yamaha project, and it's too cold to paint...(that's a whole 'nother story..I need to get with a pal for supplies also).
I agree, I hope everything turns out great, but the pictures of the way
they are look superb. I wouldn't dare get a can of stripper even close to them.
