NOS Model 5 body on the way...

Just got it wired up tonight. Sounds great. I put a Super 3 in it and it's nice and thick sounding.
Still need to tweak the action a bit, but it's about 98% there.
I also need to decide on the lock nut. Plays fine without it, I just leave the trem arm in the case.
After about two hours of playing it, I made a short list of a few minor things that need attention, but that's all in the fine tuning.
If I had to, I could gig with it as is.

I would like to know which floyd insert do you have on it??
does the Original floyd rose insert fits well ?? or you have Jt6 inserts

I put a Super 3 in it and it's nice and thick sounding.

I was thinking about putting one of those in my model 6. Good to know someone likes in a model neck thru. I still have the midboost though and that might be too much midrange.

Nice man! I use the SIII in my 2 and 3A, works great with trem guitars IMO. Nice to see her back to life!!

Floyd posts will not fit, they are too small.
Give Dave (Budman) a shout. He has just about every part you will need to get it up and running again.

It will need some finish work once you get it.
The frets were never dressed and if yours is like mine, it will still need finish sanding and buffing. I didn't bother repairing the few paint dings on mine as they weren't bad enough to warrant a refinish.

Thanks... it's almost done.
I went ahead and installed a Floyd nut on it. No surgery required... I did have to build a nut shelf for it though. Not too bad.
Need to clear coat the face of the headstock and then put on a truss rod cover and I'm done.
