After years of playing mainly strats I ran across a model 3A,at a local music store. It has become my main guitar.I needed something with a little more crunch.A couple of weeks later I found a model 3 for $50.00. I couldn't say no.It needs some work though.Last week I traded a strat to my brother, for a model 6.I'll probably buy the strat back later, but first I would like to find a model 5. I think the charvels are built better than any strat I ever owned.

I t's a super distortion in the neck and an evelotion in the bridge, a combination that probably isn,t supposed to work, but it dose for me.I have the S.D. lowered a little bit. It's a little muddy if you use the neck alone. I usually use the Evo or both. The Evo kicks in the bridge. Great harmonics and powerful clean sounds. Kind of on the hot side. I had to roll back my overdrive settings some. You may want to use somthing with less output in the neck though.
