My 5A

Ok lets give it a go!this is my 5a,i belive its black cherry in colour,I've just finished stripping the parts off before i take it to my mate to paint it in the same colour as the car in the bottom pic,unfortunatly it turns out that the paint is mega pricey,£160 just for matierials.be interesting to know what you guys think,

IMO, if it ain't broke, don't try fixing it. I.e. *I* think the paint looks fine...you don't, though. A few blems, but I have seen worse. And I play with worse on one of mine.

Personally, I would not bother. (Don't like the orange colour anyhow! Sorry!)

I got a good deal at Guitar Parts Depot, a TS101 for an Ibanez for $118.00,
and all the parts were included. Service was excellent.
I have that Jackson trem on a Model 88, and like mine, though.

If you're looking for bits and pieces ebay is a good place to hunt. You'll have to pick your way through the shite mind. I've had some good finds from there.

Personally I'd keep the paint as it is. But I think it might suit the guitar though. Are you still down in that there Swansea?

yeh still in the area,i'm ok for bits.I used to so all the upgrades and repairs in the shop so aquired quite a few bits and pieces for the old charvels.

Well i've just picked it up from the painters in standard colour,i couldn't go through with it so i'm going to spend the evening rebuilding it!
Would anyone like to see some pics when its done?

I have a 5A that I just finished putting together. Still needs two more pieces (lock nut and truss rod cover) but it plays great.
Put a Floyd on it.
