Don't give him a hard time...It's worth whatever he's willing to pay for it.

This is the resaon that Pawn Shop everywhere overprice the guitars. When people that don't know what there worth pay to much. All you would have to do is ask and most of the people on this board would be more the happy to give you information.

Take a breath bro, I back doored it for $300 More than I wanted to pay initially, my original offer was $265, but it's in great shape, comes with OHC, and I've got pickups to throw in it. So long as the trem isn't too bad I should be able to disassemble, clean, and re-install it without too much trouble.

I havent decided yet. Ive got a super3 that I've been wanting to put in my SL1, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I might throw the Super3 into the SL1 and the JB into the predator, but I find the JB to be very thin and lifeless in the SL1, thus I have my doubts about how it will sound in the predator. I might go with active EMG's as I've always wanted to try them, but I wouldn't know where to start with them, active pickups is totally new territory for me. Tone wise I prefer darker/warmer sounding pickups.

So many options, I'll make a final decision when I get the guitar in hand.

Hey Steve. Glad you got it for a fair price. Prices on Ebay have gotten out of control . There's a Charvel 650 with a BIN of $900 and Pawn shops and unaware music stores use Ebay as the new blue book.

If the JB sounds thin in the SL1 try using a 250K pot instead of the 500k It will take off some of the highs and make things a bit smoother in tone.
                      Just a thought.

You're right...But I was just saying that I didn't think it was cool to grill him for what he paid since he was so happy about getting his 1st Charvel.

IMO, anyone who buys anything at a pawn shop and pays too much is their own fault. Pawn shops take advantage of everyone...That's how they make money.
