My Model 1 mutt

I screwed up the Charvel neck on this Model 1. So I was looking for a replacement neck for the time being. This Tele neck mounted right up. I didn't have to redrill holes or anything. BTW. The humbucker is a real Fender. It says so on the back of the pup. I'll string it up later.

How did you mess the neck up?
It does make it look like a peavey patriot

This Tele neck was one I had lying around. It's a slabneck and kinda beefy. It bolted on fine. And the intonation is right on. However, I had to raise the bridge saddles high and I still fret out 4 up and down from the 12th. I'll let it sit around strung up for awhile and go from there.

This is quickly turning into my favorite guitar. A tweak here. A tweak there. And the Fender Hum just is very, very cool. The best mutt so far.

Fett did the neck heel fit the shape of the neck pocket or did you wing it? Teles have the square shaped heel and strat pockets are rounded, but you knew that.

With the lip covering it, I didn't bother to look. It just worked.
