There was a used Charvel Traditional that hung on the wall of Guitar Center for what seemed like forever. Things like the nut clamps and pup selector tip started to get taken off. I just bought it for a beater for a little over $300. After I got it home and got the filth off of it I noticed that the guitar had very little playing time and it cleaned up nicely. I have had it for a couple of years now and really like the guitar. The body is even smaller than my SL2H. From what I have read these things didn't go over very well and sold really cheap. I have been looking for another one. So far this is the only one I have seen http://www.fretstore.com/detail.aspx?ID=336 He won’t come off of it though. What is a normal price for one of these guitars?

That was it. After the guy paid for shipping it cost him over $400. What did you think about the stock SH-14 in the bridge? The design of the headstock has never been an issue for me and the paint on these guitars seems very nice. I thought these were only made from 2002 to 2003?
The one at jciguitars is a really pretty transparent red he came down to $700 without a case.

I thought the sh14 sucked. If I were you I would go for a model A and change the pups or a model Aplus. much better guitars those came from the factory with oiled necks, ebony boards and 24 frets. I think they were made 2002-2004. I had a model 4 that I paid 460 new on a dent and scatch close out and sold it for 450.
700 is still way too high. He has some usa jacksons in that price range along with some bc rich stIIIs. I would go for those first.
oh and that is a real 1/8" quilt top

I just sold a really slick Model A this morning. the pickups had been replaced in it. I have a SL2H bolted steel so the model A never stood a chance to get played. The neck on this 22 fret Japanese Traditional seems like it almost plays itself. I wish I could get more exposure to ALL Charvel guitars
He has the body listed as Mahogany do you think that is correct? He's down to $670 now LOL!

The model A I just sold had the zebra '59 in the neck, and some custom shop SD bridge pickup that was as blank as a fart. It was a Hawbucker or nokie Edwards. It may have even been a dinky that someone put a model A neck on. Here is a pick of it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160173961325
This is the guitar I wish I had http://www.guitarjapan.com/charvel/spec/model-c.html except with 22 frets "recessed floyd"
