  • MODEL 2: Which trem i could use to replace?

    Hey there!!!!!

So, i have the oportunity to get a Model 2, but it doesn't have a bridge..

    Which one i can use???
Right now, the options for me here in Brazil are:
1-) Ibanez Edge (taked from a Ibanez Jem DY777)
    2-) A standard Gotoh bridge
3-) A ordinary korean FR Licensed..

    What you think????

Looks like a standard Gotoh would work, and from what I hear, be nicey.
There was a thread here just a week or two about them... so, just double check the stud spacing.
Measure yours, and do a quickie web search to verify that it's the same, and you should be in business!

There is the chance that it's like mine, with the Kahler spacing, in which case, well, it's an ugh.

Be sure to measure and checky!

Here's the thread on the Gotoh Floyds...

And here's pretty much all you'll need to know:

As nhSpike said: Measure it ! If it's the "regular" width (74,3 mm = ~ 2,91 ") - and it looks like this - any Gotoh/Schaller/Ibanez/OFR will fit; if it's the "narrow" width (~56 mm = 2,19 ") you have to look for a Kahler Fulcrum (2500) or a Kahler Killer (2710), which might be hard to find, as I can tell (looking for one !)
