  • Charvel Identification

Last weekend, it was a bit windy over here (Emma - now I know why storms get female names - they blow !) and I was forced to stay inside. So I hung around and worked on a project, that came to my mind a while ago: www.charvel-jackson.info !
Check it out and feel free to correct/comment/submit whatever has to be corrected/commented/submitted !

And thanx again to Henrik (Jackson1) for using his stuff - permission assumed

Nice job! The only issues I see after a quick look-

          - on the page with the logos, the '86 - '88 (Model Series) guitar-shaped logo should be the white one with the 6-in-line headstock with "by Jackson/Charvel" underneath:

The logo you have there looks like the USA logo with a 3 + 3 headstock.

          - the solid color Model 7 was basswood, and only the trans-finished ones were ash. Same goes for the Legend, which replaced the Model 7.

          - the Model 5, 5A, 5FX & 6 seem to be missing.

Looks like you put in a lot of effort, and this should really help people out!

Looks like he split it into bolt-on and neck-thru sections. The Model 5 and 6 are in the last group on the bottom. Just a small thing, these are listed as having the Charvel 2 (toothpaste) logo when they have the Charvel 1 (guitar) logo. Still a great job

Ah, I see. Cool. Should the LS-1 (set neck) go down there?

                Excellent effort. I bookmarked it.
I'm picky, but the Model 88 is African Ribbon Mahogany.
Not just any mahogany, it seems. I could supply a pic, but mine has a tone knob added.

                  Thanx for the comments ! I've corrected, what you brought up;

and of course it's NOT being picky to be accurate (CygX1) !

according the logo (Charvel1) - well observed DG ! I liked the similar headstock-look, that's why I chose this one.

And thanx to Glave for pointing out the logo-mistake (Models 5 - 6); I guess, I was tired, when I did it last night.

Well, 1.15 am - I should get some sleep now.
                  Good Night

The Desert Crackle 375 Deluxe is a 475 as the 375 didn't have shark fin inlays.

Model 4M wasn't Japan only as far as I know as frequently I see them for sale on Ebay and elsewhere.

I have yet to see any of the other Japanese only guitars EVER ANYWHERE. I wish I did as I like the original Model series Japanese versions with the pickup configs they had.

                            Very cool!

I believe there was a Charvel CX692 as well that should go in your "CX" section.
