Looks pretty darn cool. And like JBall008 said, it brings back memories for me, too. By the way, if you ever get to meet Steve, he's a really good guy with a wicked sense of humor. And I bet he'd like to see pictures of your project once you get it finished.

Holy crap! You free routered the kahler? Gutsy...no wonder you felt sick. I am going to be building a body soon and I am going to go the template and collet route. Everytime I 've tried to free router I kill it...Congrats!

Sweet guitar....gotta love autograph and its definitely cool to see a different style tribute guitar cuz dont get me wrong the evh and the lynch tiger are awesome but its good to see something different. Also good job with the trem routing cuz if I would have tried it i would have probably ended up looking for a new body.

                              thanks guys!
Yeah for the routing I turned my router to a super high speed and just sliced through the basswood like i was using a lightsaber or something, so luckily the router wasn't trying to jump out of my hands.
I know what you mean about the common tribute guitars like EVH and george Lynch, I was just sitting here at my computer one night watching the 'That's the stuff" music video by Autograph, and I said outloud:
                              "I want that guitar."

I got a Model3 body and a Model2 neck and a lot of parts (leftovers) like pickguards, pickups, pots etc... ! This week the Kahler Killer arrived, and I have to fill/redrill the insert-holes. After that, I will assemble it next week, just to see (hear), if (and how) it sounds.

I'm still not sure about the paint, maybe I leave it just black with the white pickguard, which is a "finish" that always attracted me !

I will post the result !
