  • Will a new FloydRose trem work on a Model #2 or 3?

I found a model 2 but the original trem is pretty beat will a JT590 or Orig FR work? I did not know if the spacing would be the same for the posts etc.

If it has a JT-6, then yes, an OFR or JT-590 will fit.
I would highly suggest getting a set of Floyd friendly posts from Dave (https://www.fretsonthenet.com)http:/...om/ImCharv.htm Part # JCH-1.
You shouldn't need the bushing as I do believe Dave has the new posts threaded to match the existing one.

If you are anal about the strings not being over the pole pieces of the pickup you will be fine. The JT-6 is reg spaced and the 590 and OFR are wider spaced. You will have to do a little routing in the trem cavity but it will fit and work just fine.
        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Most likely a JT-6 if it's stamped with the Jackson name.

Are the fine tuners on top or pointed to the rear thats the way to explain it to a non Jackson person.

I did this and the issue I had was the high E slipping off the fretboard during certain bends due to the wider spacing. Just food for thought....

The JT-6 is a fine trem IMO.I like that the fine tuners are in the back and out of the way.
