Thanks, Todd. I've been wanting one for a long time. There was one on eBay just a few miles from me about one month ago, but the headstock had been broken. Ever since I sold the blue one, the one you now own, I've been wanting another. There is zero fret wear and not one ding/dent on her.

Yeah, spike, the 5A is awesome. It has toured the world for 20 years. It is definitely a conversation piece when I have friends over.

              Sweet, Alvin!

How do you like the Rio Grande in your 7? I need to do something with mine, because I love playing it, but it needs a little more something tonewise. Dave has told me several times to try a Rio Grande. I still keep thinking I might go the Hot Rails route, though.

I just got the 7 yesterday, so I have had very little playing time with it. But, it does seem like a good, hot pickup. It did some Lynch and Randy pretty good.

On the red model 2, Nice guitar! got one the same color.
But I have a question:...How do you keep the Original Floyd from slipping off the posts?
I've had this problem with two Charvels so far!
Did you change the posts that the Floyd rides on?
I just ordered some new ones from fretsonthenet.com that are suppose to work with an original Floyd, hope they work good with an older Ibanez Edge trem as well.

Dave's posts work like a charm. Just did the OFR swap on mine - on a red Model 2 nonetheless: http://www.jcfonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81299

I never even tried the original posts with the OFR since the fretsonthenet posts were a much tighter fit.

And to the OP: those are damn nice Charvels!

                          sweeet stable there, Alvin.

I still regret not grabbing the one Model 7 I've seen locally. It was black and beat to hell, but still cool. Your red one is too much!
                          Hail yesterday

Thanks again for the 7! It's definitely being enjoyed in it's new home. As always, and like everyone else, I'm looking for more. Hopefully I can find a good price on a beat-up one so I can start modding it.
