  • Charvel Model2 or 375 Deluxe ??

Hi I'm about to buy a charvel guitar and I'm between a 375 Deluxe (toothpaste logo) from japan and a Model 2 Also from japan (the Forth Worth plate one)
Wich one would you recommend and why ?
I've been reading all kinds of reviews and posts and they seem to be preatty much alike but I've also read that the quality on the later japanesse made guitars (from toothpaste logo guitars on) suffer a little specially the pickups.
    Is this so ?
Wich on would you buy ?

    Thanks to all
    Diego

I think I'd go for the 375 first personally.

      1. The pickups in the 375 should be of the same quality as the Model series ones.
      2. The JT-590 bridge stock on 375 is much better than the JT6 on the M2.
      3. The body of the 375 is dinky sized, as opposed to the full strat size of the M2 (my personal preference).

      Plus points for the M2:
      1. Non-recessed, fully floating trem.
      2. The nice clean look of a single pickup guitar.

          Seller specs !

          MODELO 375 DELUXE (JAPAN 1998)
I thought that all of the 375 dlx were manufatured between 1989, 1990, or 1991 in JAPAN
The SN: 368557 (can the date be stimated from that, an approximation)
He says the trem is a CHARVEL floyd rose ???

PD: How do I Upload pics ???

My guess is that is a late 1990 mfg. Mine 375DX came in new to my dealer in Sept 90, and my SN is 357xxx.

Go to Photobucket.com and sign up for free, they have a free web hosting site, then you link the photo back to the JCFs. Or email me a photo, I will post it for you.

                      I like 'em both.
Prefer the necks/nut of the later toothpaste logo'd charvys, but the full sized strat body since I'm large.
I'm building one out of parts right now that has both.
Should be cool when it's done... pearl white M4 body, newer neck.
                      Can barely contain myself.
"Wow,... that was some of the hardest rockin ever. Hardest to listen too."
