Frank Aresti is shown in the 1990 catalog with a Charvel 475, the later version of the Model 4. So is Adam Wacht from Trouble Tribe, his was a Charvel Fusion, I think...

"That guy from Savatage who passed away"? Are you trying to say Criss Oliva played a Model 6? I haven't seen a picture of it. He's mostly seen with his Jacksons (one of them is a re-badged ESP) and Charvel Predators.

"In the late 80’s Criss played guitars such as the Charvel Model 6 and other high line Charvel/Jacksons. Criss actually endorsed both Charvel and Laney Amps. The famous "gargoyle" guitar was actually an ESP that had the Charvel logo spray painted on the headstock. "

He was endorsed by and using Jacksons at that time (at least while he was playing with King Diamond). Not so sure if he was still using the Charvel as much.

I never picked up Charvels because someone famous played them or not. Heck, I'm not even into the strattish Soloist shape much. They had just the features I wanted (thick bodies, binding, neck-through and non-recessed Floyds). I knew that they were of great build quality, and needless to say they are the best guitars I've ever owned. They are just great guitars, and I think one of the reasons they aren't more popular (and expensive), is because they don't have any "big names" connected to them.

So, I can't think of anyone who was reknowned for playing the Model series, but Shawn Lane played his 750XL a lot.

Only one I can think of who was a big Model series player was Tommy Victor from Prong. He also played Surfcasters on an album or 2. Not sure what he's using now.
