  • Model 6 value

Hi, this is my 1st post I joined about a year ago when I bought my model 6 but never got round to posting I'm thinking of changing to a Jackson Stars Rhoads, to do this i'd have to sell my Charvel. Can anyone tell me what the UK value of my guitar would be? It's black, in decent condition (bar a couple of small dings) and all original.

    Thanks, Darren.

Well, a fairly rare Burgundy mist model 6 is on UK Ebay right now for £300 and didn't sell. I got mine, very dinged for about £340.

As usual, it all depends on how much someone wants it and if they fight for it. Model 6's are rarer in the UK, Charvels in genral are rare here. So maybe 300 at least is all I can say...

BTW, this sort of thread is "against the rules" of the foum, I think...because it makes it look like you are trying to sell it here. I know you are asking for value only though.

Thanks I figured £300 - £350, Im not in a position to sell at the moment anyway as I dont have the rest of the cash for the Jackson as yet, so i realy am just after a price.
Just got to figure out which RR to get?

I payed £400 of a mint black 1987 with Hiscox flightcase, all original, almost unused.

Then again, £330 of a 1987 pearl white with one scratch, no case.

I've paid (in US dolla) 287 for one, and 650 for another.
Depends on the auction, and your luck.
                Great guitars.
I advise you to keep it, and save a bit longer.
What a great backup axe to have, right?

Yep would be a nice backup, but I've got too many other guitars as it is and can't realy justify keeping it AND get another, well I could but i'm trying to be good. 1 in 1 out

                    hmmm
I would say that a sweet model 6 is worth breaking ANY rule you are trying to impose on yourself.

Whatever the number (mine's 10, and I'm at 17 guitars) may I again suggest you keepy?

                    hehe

You will thank me in 5 years

                      Dam you, dam you all

(Oh and i looked at the trem, its a licenced Floyd made by schaller with Jackson stamped on it)

Yes, nhspike is right. I like them ones. Very like a "real Floyd Rose" and excellent quality IMO. You are lucky not to have a Kahler or JT-6!!

That is a nice guitar. If I was stuck with one guitar, it would be that over an RR.
