well technically, basswood is in the tilia genus and there are over 30 species of tilia around the world one is native to north america so yah, it could be a different kind of basswood really, idk really if the wood is so different between the different species of it but i'd guess there could be some

There is a model 2 and a cx body on the fleabay at the moment. The model 2 is a lovely peice, and I dont think I could bring myself to pull it apart, and im sure i've heard that the CX variants aren't as good as the model series. So, if someone could help me out in making a decision. The cx body is at approx $130 and the model 2 is buy it now for approx $500 -- Im in the UK so sorry if the amounts are approximatesx

oh, and yes rich, gary used 58's in his charvels and jacksons, then had them replaced with 81's in the late 80's. I have an 81 sat here in a box awaiting the right body to go in (sounds rude doesnt it! :P)
