Just picked this puppy up. Went to the music store where a friend of mine is taking bass lessons. In conversation, I told one of the workers that I had a few Charvel/Jackson. He said he had a Charvel in the basement collecting dust and was I interested. Wound up being a black 86 Model 4 in mint condition.



Barely a scratch on it. No rust, a little fret wear. Sorry for the bad cameraphone pic.

Not bad for $100 :ROTF:

Got it cleaned up, new strings, threw a Duncan Distortion in the bridge and this thing screams. One odd issue. The midboost has been ripped out. I knew this when I bought it as there were only 2 knobs and an hole where the third knob should be. Turns out the previous owner put another output jack there. I thought about just putting an extra knob but it does make it easier playing sitting down and I might be able to come up with some cool stuff to do with dual-outputs .
