  • Restrung the Model 6 and took some pics

After restringing the Gibson V I decided to take the crusty strings off the model 6 and oil the fretboard. I haven't played this thing in a couple years (I am not really into Strat shapes) and the strings were gritty. Check it yo.

Who the hell is Dan Lawrence?

In this pic you can see the picture of when it was blue.

Nice guitar. You sure that's a Model 6, though? All Model 6s I've seen have either a Kahler or a Jackson JT-6, and all had 3 mini switches.

Yeah, it's a 6. It was modified by GMW back about 2001.

You mean they filled in the mini-toggle holes and routed for the blade selector? That would explain why I've never seen one like it.....aside from the awsome refin, of course.

Thanks. They also pulled the JT6 bushings, plugged the holes are drilled it for the Schaller bushings.

                        Schwing!!!

I love it except for the pile of skulls, the HSS layout, the controls and the blade switch.

You should change it to all black or a warbird graphic, single hum and volume. Then it would be cool. And change the inlays for dots. Also, make it a bolt-on.

                        Nah - j/k - very sweet.

That is too funny. Seriously, it turned out great and you can be sure that no one else has one like it so who gives a sh t how much it cost.
