These guitars hit the shops in March of 2008 and in June, Chushin Gakki (the Jackson factory in Japan) announced that they would no longer make Japanese Charvels.
MSRP on these was 130000yen (a little more than $1300 at today's exchange rate), and I saw some at shops for around 95000yen.
I saw this on Yahoo! Auction with a BIN of $550, and had to jump on it.
The output jack is like a Fender style which is embedded into the side of the body.

Although the seller sent the guitar to me last week, I didn't have a chance to post this thread before, because my wife went into labor while I was taking off the crusty strings

There is one thing wrong with her... She is not photogenic at all. That is, she is 30 times cuter in real life
