Will Super Glue Fix this? are there any other alternatives?
Remember to wipe the parts off really well and let them dry overnight if you use WD40 it does have water in it.
I think you might have mis-typed - the "WD" stands for "water displacement", it's actually made up of hydrocarbons, no water included - although you're spot-on with the wipe it down well, as everyone else says, you'll pick up a lot of gunk otherwise!
if it were me i would fill the hole and re drill it to do it correctly that way you have a nice tight bond between the stud and the wood. You should be able to see the ring and just center punch it then drill the appropriate hole size then finish it off with some sand paper
