I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

I've always liked the look of that model but never had the chance to play one. Looks sweet.

Tell you what; this guitar showed up fully in-tune! I shit you not, this guitar made the trip form NH to OH in cold as fuck weather not more a cent or two off on any string. Perhaps I mis-judged the JT-6? What are some opinions of it? Am I commiting blasphemy by sticking a Floyd on there?

              It's popular to hate them.
There are JT-6 fans out there though, and I'm one of them.
Are they pot metal? Yes... but they have hardened steel pivot inserts, just like a Schaller, or Ibanez Edge.
You have to keep them clean, and some don't like the position of the fine tuners.
I like them, they are out of the way, and don't get much use anyhow.

Not a mistake to put a Floyd on there, not at all.
Just keep your original parts so you can return her to stock if you ever need to.

Or sell the JT-6 to me!!!

              LOL

                I kept the JT6, FWIW.
It does hold tuning quite well even on full dive bombs.

If you didn't have to do any routing or other changes then an OFR is no problem.
