I'm kinda doing the same thing, but not trying to fool anyone or magicmarker anything ---
I just bought a red 1b with maple, and I am going to put the maple neck on my black 2b, and take the rosewood and put it on the 1b to have a CHARVEL-ETTE MUTT, that will obviously say Charvel on the headstock.
( I already have a black 1B, and the thought of 2 black and maples has me gass'ed )
besides Charvettes only came with rosewood anyway. ( that is correct right? ).
