  • 1988 Charvel Model 3 Locking Nut?

When I got my Model 3, it didn't have the blocks or screws for the locking nut, but I ended up getting screws & blocks from a friend. Now, on the blocks & the nut there are grooves causing it to go out of tune. Does anyone know where I can get a new locking nut for it? The blocks from any other Floyded guitar I found were too big

Check with dave at www.fretsonthenet.com or if it's a kahler at their site.

Would I be able to just file the grooves out?

I think it would depend on how deep the grooves are.
          Gibson SG Standard

Silvertone S615 Acoustic from the 60's

Do all the blocks have grooves or is it just like the ones for the E, A, D, and G ? Since those have the wound strings.

I think all of them... If I recall, the ones on the blocks are very small

go 2/3rds done on the page and you will see the plates you need.

If it's an 88 it should be the jt6 lock nut. If you need the right screws I guess there is 4 types and dave should be able to help you find which ones you need.

Tough to find old 80's Model parts...may need to just mod it with something else or call some luthiers and see if their is a fix?
