Heres a shot of the worst corner in a few different stages...

This axe looked like it was sick, relicd would be one way to put it but I though it looked abused....So lets go rediculously 80s I though. So Kawasaki green, that will be candied over with mica in flip flop, should be putredly beautiful when done... Opinions or criticisms welcome!

Ill add more it should be painted by tomorrow night or so maybe 2 days..

A teaser shots mind you I still need to wet sand and polish, have 3 drips in the back and one on the side, but not too drastic and hell for the first one I have ever done with HVLP its come out great! Wetsand and about 4 more coats of clear then polish, I think itll be done by weds or so.

I started the body work at 1000am and I am at this point at midnight

Flake is hard to see but its there

Nice job on the repair. I would have went with Yamaha blue. Since James Stewart signed with Yamaha, Kawasaki will never win another supercross or motocross.

I'm messing with you. It looks great. Can't wait to see it put back together.

Looks great, but you're going to have one hell of a time getting the paint out of those trem studs.

Run a tap through prior to installing your studs, or you'll bugger it up.
            Nice catch Rick.

I had screwes in em when I sprayed just took em out for the pic, I left em 3/4 out so I could get paint on the heads of those since they looked like crap. Should have said that lol.

Ill have to upload the pics of all the patchwork, I just cant get into the relic look and this was just ridiculous. The rear bottom looked like it had been dragged down the highway, and the dents looked like it sat in a hail storm.

This really has however come out way better than I had expected, I figured it would take me 3 sprays and a ton more work for the clear.

                  Cool.
Good thinking, and an all-around well done job.

Hey man, where did you get that paint? I was thinking of using a similar color on another project I have going (which actually needs to get started LOL)

Kawasaki Green... try a motorcycle dealership.
                      May have to order it?

                          Makes sense.
From the pics, it looked ya painted right over them.
I normally use those circle dot stickers to cover the bushings when I paint.

The candy really brightened it up. I think the stuff I am using is basically the same as interference but in a 2 part spray. Actually the kandy came from a can lol.

So I am thinkin YJM, then I need a suggestion then an Air Norton?

Lookin for a Petrucci/yngwie sound any ideas? I have not see the blue velvet you spoke of Spike. I have looked lol
