Charvel 650XL Review

Hi everyone.

I getting rid of my Ibanez-guitars because the wood is to bad, and the sustain is extremly poor. I need a replacement guitar that is very cheap and I found one: A Charvel 650XL.

So how is this guitar to play, wood, parts and so on. Anyone that can give me a review of the guitar?

Why is it the Toothpaste ones are the only one's I like?

Most obvious to me is that I don't really like the feel of the neck on the Model series stuff. The neck on my 475 feels just like my USA bolt-on.

There's nothing wrong with toothpaste Charvels. The best import Charvel I've played or owned is my 750XL. A 650XL is a kickass guitar. Basically, it's a Model 6 with a better trem (and a pullup route), 5-way switch instead of mini-toggles, and some cooler finish options with matching headstock. If you found one cheap, buy it quick before someone else gets it.

I've owned a 650XL and loved it.
Just an all-around great instrument.
Most tones you would be looking for are in there, but if not, it responds well to pickup changes.
Hardware is top notch, build quality pretty typical Japanese perfection.
They are smooth and easy players.

I bet you'll be happy.


Edit: Looks like that one may have been upgraded to EMG pickups already? Tough to tell from the picture, but looks that way.

I'll get it when I get the money. I just have to get my RG2120 out of the way first. They are difficult to sell, the Ibanez's. The only guitars that are easy to sell here is Gibson and Fender...
