  • Behold: 750xl score!

Yes, I was the lucky one who nabbed this off LA Craigslist for 250 ducks, with original case. Some damage to her, but I fixed her best I could... voila: added fretsonthenet.com pickup rings, threw in some Bill Lawrence pickups and added an original Floyd Rose... Plays HEAVENLY, I like her more than the Soloist Archtop Pro I had a year or so ago...Still haven't figured out the wiring perfectly...yet, but she looks finished:

If you want to take it back to factory original switching, I can help with wiring if you need. If that's what you're looking to achieve.

But that's an amazing find...really amazing. $250 would usually get you a model 2 or something nowadays.

You know how these have oversized PU rings? Some moron decided to try to redrill into the body to make a normal sized PUP ring fit. I'm shaking my head in disgust as I write this!!!Hahha... so there were a couple of holes in her, that I patched up with wood putty. You can see one of them by the bridge humbucker right above it. There was some clear dried glue on her too, which luckily chipped off without any further damage. ACtually, other than that she works great.

THe frets on the net pup rings, covers the other damage, so I'm stoked. Alas, now must rewire, can't find my humming noise source... bah

I just got a 750XL too. Mine still has the oversized rings, but they look kind of funny to me. One of them is also starting to crack I was thinking of redrilling to use standard rings. If I drill it JUST right, the edges of my new rings will cover up the old holes - scary, i really don't want to mess this up.
