  • Can someone please identify this Charvel Model?

Sorry for the crappy picture but it's the only one the ad has at the moment.
I've requested more pictures and the serial number.

I'm no expert but this looks like a Model 4?
The ad says it's the Kahler tremelo by the way.

Any things I should take notice of/check thoroughly before buying this guitar?

    Thanks.

    /EDIT: it's a NT model.

I'm no expert either but if it's a neck-thru I'd say a model 6? -Thats my best guess. -The trem is a Kahler BTW.

***You should check to make sure all the active electronics work.

Where did my mind wander of to?
        Ofcourse I meant a Kahler.

And after re-reading the add: it's a Neck Through.

Haha yeah, I'll my best because I've never owned a Model 6. -But basically, if you can, just see if the controls work for ya. If they do, cool. If they don't, then at least you'll know about it. If you want to know specifically what electronics are in it, there are a lot of members here who can help you out, personally idk. -There is also a site that might help you out called audiozone.dk , they have everything on Charvel/Jackson

Each switch is assigned to a pickup.
                Just on/off
The knobs are Volume/JE-1200 Mid Boost/Tone

                  Thanks for the information.
Anything else I should check for?

Neck cracks? Headstock cracks? The trem being FUBARed?

volume-tone-mid boost. switches down is the on position for the designated pickup,up would in turn be off.

I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

So for example: when I turn the neck pickup off and move the pickup switch between the middle and neck position, it should be like a kill switch?

                      Or something like that...
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ask the seller what happened to the truss-rod cover?

the switches act as a kill switch, yes. up is off down is on,you can have any number of them on or off.
