Charvel Model M3A

New guy here,,,,,,,,,,,I was able to pick this guitar up in a deal for another one. He said it was this Model and I would like to know if it is right or not. It has an amazing sound and stays in tune great. It is really crunchy sounding. Could someone tell me anything about this model? Thanks in advance. I still have to fiqure out how to post a picture here.

The 3a is one of my favorites. If it has a Kahler trem it will and 86. If it has a JT6 it could be a 87 or 88. I think the 86 had a pickgaurd to. It has the guitar shaped logo, right?
