86 Model 6-- Pickup selection?

Hi there,

im sitting here in Germany and need new Pick ups dor my Model 6.

I´ve already customed the guitar by putting out the active-stuff and putting in a Killswitch...

That made the sound tighter but i think i need new Pick ups...

Any ideas?

First what kind of music are you playing?
personally I would throw in a tonezone in the bridge and a hotrail in the neck. I have a cool rails in the middle of mine but I am not sure how happy I am with that but I still have the old pots in mine still. I currently have a seymour duncan distortion in the bridge on mine and love that too.

I have EMG's in mine. 85 in the bridge and sa's in the neck and middle. Did the 18v mod and it screams. But that setup only works for metal and heavy rock. What kind of music are you gonna play?

Any pickup will work for any type of music it's the player that isn't versatile.
