I've searched the forum for info on replacement trems for my Model 2 but I'm not having any luck finding out information that I'm looking for on suitable replacement trems.
Here's where I'm at: my JT-6 has seen better days and I'm ready to just replace it. I don't gig with the guitar so I don't think I need to go "all out" on a real OFR. I mainly play this guitar at home on rare occasions but when I do play it I want to know that the trem is stable and in good working order. My thoughts were to replace it with a Mighty Mite product. I have a local luthier that works almost exclusively with MM parts and he really knows what he's doing. So, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with MM trems and what are your thoughts/suggestions on this?
My current trem system has the "behind the nut" locking system so will this be a problem? The clamping blocks are worn out so they need to be replaced if I am going to have to keep this nut.
Thanks!
