  • Headstock relogo / refinish. PICS!

Well I finally found a replacement neck for my Charvel Fusion! It's been out of commision since about 1998 when I took it apart to repaint it and the neck got broken. I just today got around to finishing up the new logo and paint job. I'm pretty happy with it. I can't wait to get it back together.

Man, that turned out nice. What did you use as a replacement neck ...Charvel, Charvette, Jackson or something else?

How did you make the Logo, Stencil, Sticker with tape? Or did you "draw" it?
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

thanks. It's a neck off a 24 fret Charvette. They are identical to a Fusion neck as far as i can tell. I bought the logo from best-decals.com.

Wow, that turned out awesome. At least with the Charvette neck it keeps it in the family so to speak. Great job!

No. I sprayed the black basecoat.Applied the decal. Sprayed two coats of clear.Waited a few days.Wet sanded it and recleared with to more coats. So there are no decal edges.

Great DIY job! Of course you are going to have to change your moniker now to repaired_fusion or no_longer_broken_fusion.

                          Very impressive!

I am tempted to do something similar to the Model 6 I am restoring but might be a bit too late as I am just about to start to clear coat the headstock.

                            Looks great nice job.
Best decals are great people to deal with.I needed a Kramer logo and all they had was one for a voager and he sent that to me super quick.
I did my model 2 mutt with a best decal piece too.Very high quality decals.
On the Kramer all I had to do was sand the clear down to the wood and apply the decal then rsguitarworks matched the original amber clear and 6 coats later and here you go perfect match.
