i think the polka dots look dumb on that RR. it looks to "metal" to feature polka dots.. they just dont go with the guitar IMO
so for that reason i'd pick the first one
None of them look particularly good. I've always hated polka-dots; especially on guitars, and the pinstripes on the RR-3 don't go very well with the pickguard and the v-plate.
Looking only at the specs, I would prefer the RR-3, since it has the jack in the top wing.
It really should be about the type of trem as far as deciding between those two.

I think the newer RR3's have the upper jack and have done for a few years, that is a major part in playabillity imo, though if you want a simple metal guitar the RX10D has one volume, and a toggle.
Compared to the two volumes and one tone of the RR3, and if you are going for the trem version of the RR3 it probably is better unless the X series have the same improved trem as the pro series?
I wouldnt doubt the RR3's are better guitars especially as the newer X series have basswood bodies or have done since 06/07...
Well that's what I was wondering. It's advertised as an rr3.
The RR3 has a trem, not a fixed bridge like the RR5... unless they've made some strange new model recently. Wouldn't be the first time somebody was wrong about advertising something, though.
