Ok, so I got a new guitar in today...like it so far, i just can't figure out which model Jackson it is.
the neck is 24 fret, maple w/ rosewood fretboard dot inlays. headstock says jackson performer and the truss rod cover says ps-2. it has a light wood body (at least the heel was light wood where it's not painted). floyd. HSH routing volume knob, tone knob. currently has a 3 way switch but i think that was installed when the BLUSA L-500XLs were installed. Side note- these are wired up with a push/pull volume switch that switchs over to single coil modes, very snazzy. painted black of course.
so, at first glance you would assume it's a ps-2. but every jackson catalog i can find only shows the ps-2 with HSS set up. and the ps-4 with HSH.
think it's a PS-4 body with PS-2 neck?
nothing is stamped in the heal or on the neck. except there is a stamped 2 on the 24th fret.
